Artisan Pasta workshop no 3
I have just had the most wonderful day learning how to make pasta from scratch at one of Mamma Giulietta s workshops which was not only great fun but also very informative with lots of really practical tips.
I really love the fact that it was 100% hands-on experience but under the expert guidance it was fine to make mistakes so I was really able to get the feel of the dough and see how the texture changed when kneaded and at ease which could rectify any problems.
The workshop took away my fear of Italian cookery and I found the whole process of making fresh pasta very therapeutic, shaping the dough by hand but also mastering the use of a pasta machine (I ordered one as soon as I got home to Devon in the UK) I can’t wait to to get recreating these dishes as I left with full sets of recipe sheets not to mention enough pasta to feed my family for a week this pasta workshop was worth every penny as you get to take home everything you make.
Juliette even tailored the course to techniques that are desperately wanted to learn, making spinach as well as standard pasta creating all sorts of different pasta shapes and making some utterly delicious but simple to make sauces. As if that wasn’t enough we sat down at the end of the workshop and sampled everything we had made not to mention some delicious additional produce either grown or handmade by Juliette and her husband I could easy havecome home one stone heavier.
I could usually take or leave pasta and Italian cuisine but this course has totally changed my approach to making and love of eating Italian food. I simply cannot recommend this pasta workshop class enough. Juliette is absolutely lovely. She explained so much about the food and Italian culture and I found the origins of some of the dishes simply fascinating.
I have a whole new respect for Italian food and the Italian culture, my husband who absolutely adores such cuisine was very impressed with my culinary efforts and insisted on pasta for supper the same night. Replicating everything that Juliette had taught me earlier during the workshop we ended up with seven clean plates including a very fussy toddler thumbs up all round….. need I say more!
A simply brilliant way to spend the day so irrespective of your level of cookery skills book your Pasta workshop today…. You will not regret it.
Thanks again or a wonderful day Anne Slade

Today I was fortunate enough to attend a pasta sauce cooking class under the guidance of Mamma Giulietta.
Having previously attended one of Giuliettas pasta classes at Pisconeri Fine Foods in Mount Hawthorn. I was excited when I received a gift voucher from my children for Father’s Day to attend an in-house one on one cooking class with Giulietta.
After a quick tour of the impressive vegetable garden, we began cooking a range of wonderful sauces packed with flavour including a request. Carciofe ripini di carne (meat stuffed artichokes) accompanied with hand made pasta. Sauces prepared and cooked from scratch. Four cheese sauce, Pesto trapanese. Strascinati pasta with broccolini and sausage ragu. Ragu with pork sausage and porcini mushrooms.
I highly recommend Mamma Giuliettas home pasta workshops to anyone with a passion for Italian cuisine and cooking and I look forward to cooking these dishes for my family and friends.
And just like a true mamma you go home with bags full of food for the rest of the family.
Thanks Mamma Giulietta

Vegetable Pasta Workshop No. 2
Being from Italian descent, I’ve always felt really sad that I never had a chance to make gnocchi just like my Nonna. Since meeting Mamma Giulietta though I’ve not only learnt how to do this but so much more. Anyone wanting to learn authentic Italian cooking needs to do Mamma Giuliettas pasta workshop! It is simply amazing! Learning how to make not one but three fresh pastas from scratch using authentic Italian techniques handed down from generation to generation, is priceless. And to top it all off, you get to sit around afterwards and have an Italian feast enjoying all the fruits of your labour. It is so much fun and such a rewarding day. Using fresh produce, mama shows you all those little secret tips you need to make fresh al dente, and although they all taste great. I must say by far the spinach pasta was a stand out for me so vibrant, so delicious, Bellissimo honestly I can’t recommend this workshop enough.
Do yourself a favour and book today. you won’t regret it vegetarian delight I loved loved loved this workshop it was amazing. As a vego I’m always looking for dishes that are packed full of flavour and what I love best about this workshop was that the food was so simple and yet so delicious.
We cooked using fresh seasonal vegetables with Mamma Giulietta explaining that in Italy nothing goes to waste and meals are all about what’s currently growing in the garden. The peperonata what to die for, Yum Yum Yum. Also Mamma Giulietta was kind enough to teach me several different eggplant dishes as I’d never as I’d never cooked with it before.
How glad I am that I had her teach me all about eggplant I can tell you my house has been a buzz of eggplant ever since. This by far was my favourite workshop. The smell in the kitchen was amazing and enjoying the treats of our labour after afterwards was so satisfying. The food was simple yet beautiful and vibrant, colourful dishes on the table looked stunning. Now I have such a better appreciation for Italian cooking since doing this workshop. My culinary experience of Italian food was largely limited to pizza and pasta but this class was a real eye-opener for me. This is a must for anyone wanting to learn traditional healthy home cooked Italian food. especially if you’re a vegetarian what a fantastic experience.
Thank you, Mamma Giulietta

Artisan Pasta workshop no 2.
What a fantastic experience we had at Mamma Giuliettas pasta workshop. A fun filled day creating artisan pasta from scratch and learning techniques passed down from generations before us. Mamma Giulietta showed both Angelo and I how to create delicious sauces. We used seasonal veggies and herbs from Juliette‘s garden and made zucchini fritters using the flowers. So much fun the Penne pasta we made from scratch,
And Angelo learned the technique of kneading is all in the wrist. Mamma Giulietta provided a warm friendly environment to learn and cook in one of the best kitchens around. Such a rewarding experience, with the best part sitting down with a glass of vino and enjoying the amazing dishes we created.
Thank you, Mamma Giulietta from
Angelo and Melina.
